Let’s start with using 'will' for talking about the future.
Future Tense "Will" for Future Predictions and Decisions
Examples:
◦ I will travel to Japan next year.
◦ She will call you later.
◦ They will probably arrive late.
Rule:
Use "will" + base verb to make predictions, promises, or decisions made at the moment of speaking.
It’s a straightforward way to talk about things you expect to happen.

Using "Going To" for Future Intentions
Examples:
◦ I am going to start a new job next month.
◦ He is going to buy a new car.
◦ We are going to have a meeting tomorrow.
Rule:
Use "going to" + base verb to talk about future plans or intentions that have already been decided.
This form is used when you have already decided to do something.
