Today, we’ll focus on describing people’s appearance and personalities.

You’ll learn common adjectives that will help you describe physical traits and character.

These words help paint a picture of what someone is like as a person.

Adjective Order in English

Examples:
◦ A tall, blond man with curly hair
◦ A friendly, hardworking woman
◦ A small, green-eyed child

In English, when we use more than one adjective to describe a person, we usually follow a specific order:
◦ opinion
◦ size
◦ age
◦ shape
◦ color
◦ origin
◦ material
◦ and purpose.

Example:

a tall, blond man with curly hair follows this order.

This might seem complex, but with practice, it becomes easier.
